But in all honesty it is just an act she puts on to make sure her road to dictatorship can go smoothly before she holds enough power to let the act go. So the chances are, if there is something – skills, connections, public influence – about a person that Kaede thinks is worth her time, she’ll be glad to befriend him or her. And if one of her friends asks her for a favor, she would be happy to oblige as long as the trouble you bring does not outweigh your worth to her. After all this time being nice kind of became her second nature, and she wears the mask like wearing clothe, so not everyone can catch the rare times she actually slips unless it was done deliberately. Only a handful of people she would have an emotional connection towards and actually consider them friends. People who most likely are either similar in character with Kaede or completely different – the innocent, naive types she would take under her wing and very much enjoy the process as she corrupts her /shot. On the side note, in her freshman year Kaede actually attended Hyaku for a few months – as a male student – before she got busted and forcibly transferred to St.V. Who doesn’t love those :’D but there won’t be a lot of people she actually considers as true enemy because to hate is a strong emotion, and with most people she doesn’t have enough emotional attachment to waste her energy hating on them. Although there are still quite a few exceptions for that. For starters, the Akihara family is not on friendly terms with the Hanazakis, so if you’re under that family name then you’ll most likely end up here. She also has a dislike for tactless, rude idiots who’s actions depend entirely on impulse and don’t even realize they’re idiots. But most of the time they’re pretty predictable so she’ll tolerate them. it’s the ones with no pattern of action to depend on that really irks her. Because sometimes unpredictability can put a big dent in her plans. Frenemy is also welcomed, because she is quite competitive and I can see her and an equally intelligent and ambitious individual butting heads – in a more civilized manner than most people of course – but still holds respect for each other and able to cooperate with one another when needed. One-sided hate on Kaede is extremely easy once you know her true colors, but only a few thoughtful and observant people will be able to catch the rare times she actually let her true nature slip out. If not though, Kaede will most likely plot something to get herself out of it without making herself look bad. Actual romance, on the other hand, is a completely different thing. I’m not saying that she is not capable of love, but being her lover is a very difficult task because this is where she gets insanely possessive and paranoid. And she’s definitely gonna be the head bitch in the relationship (unless her love interest is someone who’s a equally horrible person). She might seem like a normal girlfriend most guys would love to have, but trust her to go behind his back and scheme things on her own accord – even going as far as hurting other people – and claim it was “for the benefit of their future”. Since it's unlikely for them to meet as kids maybe they could've met when she was attending hyaku? like, i can totally imagine there being rumors among the freshmen that there's this tactical genius in the junior class. kaede might think it's exaggerated but then got curious of just how good this guy really is. because there's always some truth in rumors. so she started observing taka in a low profile manner like pretending to be casually walking past his class and things like that. then she realized this guy is actually pretty good at what he do then she might be a little interested and some event happened - i don't know what yet, maybe kaede tried to take over the disciplinary committee or something and taka somehow stopped her?/shot - that got her competitive side riled up. and then she transferred to st.v but their competition was still on because there's really no difference other than her gender ; u ; but yes, she will definitely have some respect for the guy because she thinks he's a worthy opponent.

xD it all makes sense worry not. I love all of this for sure. I'm thinking that Taka here could of taken her under his wing in the disciplinary committee and she could attempt to take over until he bests her and also figures out that she's a girl. Despite the family issues, Takashi would probably be more friendly with Kaede JUST because he knows that she may not like it. Also, should Nagisa ever spill what Kaede is doing to her to Takashi, well, hot potato with a grenade might become an everyday occurrence.

lol i can totally see that happening! because at first she'll definitely seem all nice and innocent. and since she is relatively smaller in figure than most guys it might make her seem a little fragile even among the hyaku students. and after joining the disciplinary committee naturally she'll work up something and try to take control. which like led to these two having an back and forth plotting under the surface which possibly ended up as the principle of hyaku caught wind of kaede being a girl?

and lol personally she has nothing against nagisa, she just happens to be an obstacle in her way and she naturally tries to get rid of it. but if kaede knows that takashi and nagisa have a close relationship she'll probably be careful about what she says in front of both of them.

Anyway, I was thinking that it would be funny if Kaede eventually sees Kanda in her 'violent mode' and realizes that, hey, she's got a possible weapon under that hat and so befriends Kanda with the intentions of using her to physically harm others should it be necessary anyone needs to be physically harmed.
