As she effortlessly made her way down the narrow path, the young demon reviewed her deeds of the day and mentally crossing off each and every task completed on this evening’s to-do list. Hiding the baseball team change of clothe, check. Switching all the condiment labels in the kitchen, check. Freeing a dozen of half-dead rats in the science lab, check. Minazuki mused, her tail waving lazily behind her. Sure none of the pranks were really extravagant enough for her taste, but her usual partner in crime – the fiery headed Tanemura – got caught up in her student council duties. And as much as she hated to admit it there wasn’t really much she could do as a cat, and she would rather not risk having some human catch her in the process of shapeshifting. The last thing on the list would be… Azure irises casted a sideway glance towards the large body of chloride-filled water as the Tsuki strode past the outdoor pool of Hyaku’s aquatic center. Adding blue dye to the pool water. She could already imagine Chihiro calling her an amature. But whatever, there was a reason the classics became the classics. And at least she wasn’t the one that got stuck in some boring afterschool meeting. The pale-furred youkai stopped and peeked over the edge of the structure. The wall couldn’t be higher than three meters, and she had jumped from distance far greater than this. piece of cake. Grinned the bakeneko conceitedly, before shifting her weight into a stance and leaped onto the branch of a nearby tree. But little did she know the sudden intrusion had startled a fierce mother bird who saw the cat as a potential threat to her precious eggs. Without a second thought the provoked avian charged straight towards the feline, head-butting the cat demon right in her midsection. Not expecting an attack at all, the usually crafty Minazuki lost her footing in surprise. The impact had knocked her right off the branch. Accompanied by a dramatic splash and a loud screech, the flummoxed kitten fell into the swimming pool right beneath her. It didn’t take long for Tsuki to snap out of her shock and realize what had just happened. With a few quick strokes the bakeneko drove herself to the edge of the water and hopped back up with a scowl. That was not suppose to happen! Electric blue eyes narrowed dangerously as she locked gaze with the mama bird. The creature was perching on the treetop, looking awfully smug about her accomplishment before flying off to wherever she flew off to, as if mocking the drenched predator. An animalistic growl escaped from her throat. Minazuki glared daggers as she watched the feathered being leaving the scene. While the demon was oh so tempted to step into the air and break that arrogant little thing’s neck, her elders warning about staying low profile rang beside her years. And in all honesty, a cat that walks on air would be pretty eye-catching. So her more logical option would be to head to the changing room – where she had stuffed her now too large uniform with the test tube of blue dye in one of the lockers – and dry herself off before she catch a cold. But it was a matter of pride and honor, after all. The fair-furred youkai pondered, tapping her tail slowly and rhythmically on the concrete ground where she sat, while her gaze still fixed on the escaping animal. my actions would be definitely justified… [style=color: #00BBFF; text-align: center; letter-spacing: 1px; background-color: #121212; padding: 2px;]TAGGING: YUKI | WORDS: 620 | NOTES: awful opener is awful ; n ;[/style][/style] |
