[bg=#ececec][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=align,center,true][atrb=width,425,true] as a pup, kyuuinmaru was raised in a temple that worshiped inari, the shinto god of rice and harvest, where he and his kitsune relatives lived happily for about two hundred years, until the temple was burned down to the ground in a fire. since then he had been travelling around before finally going back to where he started, japan. he had been living in midori for centuries now, picking up strays here and there and taking them under his wing. before he knew it, kyuu had grouped himself a small family of misfits. although it wasn't until moving into the abandoned sato mansion that they got an actually house house to call home. before that they just roamed freely in the forest.when he introduced the idea of fitting into human society, he wasn't planning on doing so himself, since it was really just for the younger youkais. but then one day someone tsuki brought up how he should lead by example and that he was just afraid that he couldn't handle being a student and other things with one singular purpose - drag him down with her. cliche, yes, but effective nonetheless.

[bg=#ececec][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=align,center,true][atrb=width,425,true] ✶ one of kyuuinmaru's abilities is to create illusions. but to make it realistic he must be familiar with the matter himself. the more information he has, the more believable the illusion. such illusion does not have a physical form, and disappears once kyuuinmaru's focus is broken. ✶ heavy smoker and alcoholic. he usually carries a pipe with him, but from time to time kyuu will smoke regular cigarette to "fit in with the crowd" ✶ kyuu, like every other kitsune, can feed on humans through seduction to restore strength. however it was no longer necessary for one of his age and power. ✶ even though he is more like the father of the family, kyuu claims to be imai minazuki's older brother before humans. although imai was not even his real name nor tsuki's since youkais rarely ever have last names. it was merely the first thing that popped into his mind when filling out the school application form for tsuki, and he just went with it.
