She hated having to make new “friends” and she just can’t keep up with the new trends. It seems that the world is changing faster than time and Sumi is left there trailing behind. She’s always lived like this; her parents were totally in love on the negative side it seems they’re fighting frequently. Being born into a high class family doesn’t mean you get everything you want, that is unless your parents want to make you spoiled then they are idiots. Sumi’s parents were the type that helps you grow up without providing you with money; they always made her earn it. Sumi is Japanese, but she wasn’t born in Japan in fact it’s on the other side of the world. She was born in North America; her family has decided to move to Japan where their ancestors originated from. So of course Sumi didn’t want long term relationships and even found out that her boyfriend was cheating on her. She quickly decided to plan things out on what she’ll be doing for the weekend, dumping her boyfriend, saying goodbyes to her “friends”, eat American steak and chicken, and be prepared to leave America. Sumi got everything done except for the last one, being prepared to leave to go to Japan was hard on her. In fact she even stuck herself inside her room with a warm blanket, eating pie while at the same time watching anime and being a true Otaku that she is. She finally did move to Japan in Midori and has now enrolled into St. Valentine’s. She honestly expected Japan to be a disappointment, but being an otaku she began to realize how stupid she really is. Anime and manga was made in Japan, Sumi actually felt like she was at home.
